Wash by hand with warm soapy water after each use. Avoid excessively harsh scrubbing to protect the ink markings on the barrel.

Note: The ink used for the dosage markings is non-toxic and non-permanent. It will wash off after repeated use and cleanings. To extend the longevity of the markings on your syringe, you can wrap clear adhesive tape over the barrel of the syringe to create a protective coating.

The majority of small, syringe-fed mammals only need 1 mL, 3 mL, or 5 mL syringes depending on their age. It is much safer to err on the side of caution and buy a syringe that is too small than one that is too large - babies are at a huge risk of aspiration pneumonia if they are drinking from a syringe that is too big and will let them suck too much liquid out at once.
