Description
Powdered electrolyte formula for oral rehydration and introducing milk formula to neonates. Use for all orphaned mammals. DO NOT USE for more than 48 hours; do not mix with formula. Net wt. 200 g.

Ingredients:
Dextrose, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Citrate, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride, Glycine.
Mixing directions:
Mix 1 teaspoon (4g) into 3 ounces of warm (100 F) water. Feed solution to provide approximately 40 ml of solution per kg bodyweight daily divided into several feedings.

Emergency hydration.
I never know what condition baby squirrels brought to me will be in. Electrolytes are must have. Powdered form is so convenient to have long term over Pedialyte.

Prevents any problems
I use this when first receiving bottle kittens to start formula and also when weaning. It's not a scientific experiment in a lab, but have had ZERO issues with diarrhea or anything since using this paired with the probiotics.

I have been using this between subcutaneous fluid therapy treatments to help some kittens survive panleuk, and it has been absolutely amazing. The kittens will survive, and I truly believe the use of this and the Dia-Stat stool consistency formula are an important factor in this.
